What do all those drive settings really do?

As I rotated my drive mode nob I noticed the Milage remaining went down (5 miles per turn). Why was that? I started playing with all the settings for drive modes and have the following questions: What is the effect on driving and milage between (1) ride height, besides going up & down (2) chasis ride (3) Normal, Sport, Sport Plus in general? (4) what changes the performance, ride feel, mileage and how ......

What I am asking is what do all these options really do, each by each. Feel free to answer partial. Thanks very much.

This is an Australian Porsche website, but explains it all https://newsroom.porsche.com/en_AU/2021/products/technical-feature-the-porsche-taycan-23670.html

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
That is by far the best and most comprehensive piece of information on our car I have seen in the 7 months of owning mine. I've made ownership a little bit of a hobby. I often bounce around between modes and have my own Individual setting. Normal is mainly for "wife in car" driving, lol. Again, thank you!
