I just had the Update to 2023 Software Update completed and picked up my 2020 Taycan Turbo yesterday. My initial reaction is mostly positive with one negative. The Positives: 1. My Apple CarPlay seems to connect more quickly than it used to. 2. I didn’t lose any of my Audio Favorites (although the Favorites were moved and sort of hidden until I found them and was able to move them back to where the used to be). 3. I didn’t lose my SmartLift saved locations. 4. I like the look of the Color Tiles on the PCM screen better than the White on Black look of the prior version of the PCM screen. The Negative: 1. The All-Wheel Drive gauge that I used to be able to view in the left circle part of the Instrument Cluster has completely vanished. An improved version of it has not been moved to the center circle as Porsche’s July Press Release seemed to promise. This “missing” All-Wheel Drive gauge has me thinking the dealer installed a “wrong” (perhaps a Beta) version of the update software. The Inconclusive: 1. I’ve driven my Taycan only 100 miles since the software update so it’s too soon to tell whether or not the range increase of 30-ish miles is real or not. Overall, I am glad I had the upgrade done since the faster connection to Apple CarPlay is a benefit I will enjoy every day. I do wish I hadn’t lost my All-Wheel Drive gaug, and if it turns out that my dealership didn’t install the correct version of the software update, that will be very frustrating and disappointing.
The all-wheel-drive were moved to «Trip» under »Car/Vehicle». It´s displayed as blue when using power, green while braking and grey when not using power or recuperating.
