Who has been for a test drive?

Just curious who here went to a dealership to drive a demo car and if that did/did-not make up your mind for you.

It seems like a lot of dealers have demo cars and are more interested in getting people to try it out than in actually trying to sell units, which I appreciate.

I throughly enjoyed my test drive of a Taycan Turbo. I’m hooked and excited to get a Taycan 4S. Just waiting for European Delivery to become available. Also hoping for Head Up Display.
European delivery would be fantastic. I've always wanted to try that.
We went for a short test drive in my dealer's Turbo S last week. The car is everything folks have said it is. I felt the sun in the glass roof. It does ride low so you have to be careful in driveways.
Are you for sure getting one? I know you've been on this site almost as long as I have... lol. Long time waiting.
I am waiting for the rear wheel drive model to appear, hopefully later this year.
You're a bold man... all that power in RWD will be a handful. Although arguably the most fun!
I have averaged 3 customer test drives per day in the Taycan Turbo. In every case the Taycan has exceeded customer expectations. Very well received. Some are Porsche owners, some are current or former Tesla owners some just want to check it out. They all ❤ It.

I have taken Turbo S out for test drive. Enjoyed the car and pushed it a bit but didnt abuse it on public streets.

Candidly, I was a little disappointed with the power, which I know was at least partially attributable to the lack of sound. Made it hard to appreciate how fast the car was accelerating despite the speedo rapidly increasing. I have a 500whp supercharged E39 M5, Macan Turbo, and BMW M4 in the garage so maybe shouldn’t have expected anything substantially different in terms of optimal situation power delivery. I completely acknowledge that the beauty of the Taycan is instant power delivery in any situation and that its ability to get off the line is night and day different. All this being said, I am still expecting to get a Taycan when the new colors/options become available this summer.

I'm not worried. The base Taycan may have the 4S rear motor and I have faith in the traction control systems onboard.
We own a Macan S and put a deposit down about 2 years ago.

Went to test drive it about 3 weeks ago. Thought I would like it but not love it and get my deposit back. Ended up LOVING it - the acceleration is great (Turbo), but what I really loved was the looks, handling, feel of the drive, and the interior! It's definitely feels like a 911. My wife loved it too so we decided to buy a 4S - build in March and delivery in July!

We are super excited about it!!
