My car is being built today. Insurance guy just told me it is $62 more than im paying now for my 12 Panamara Hybrid. $655 for 6 mo. I have a high deductible, figure I need to have significant damage to report it or just pay myself. Better than I thought it was going to be.
May I ask who is your insurance provider?

Has anyone obtained an insurance quote from their insurance provider? Electric vehicles and Teslas generally carry higher insurance premiums compared to ICE cars. Anyone have any real world quotes yet? Is it too soon to call up Geico and get a quote? I'm hopeful the premium will be comparable to a Model S, but I wouldn't be surprised if the cost is higher because the cost of repairing damaged Taycans is an unknown, and the actuaries at the insurance companies don't have the years of data like they do for the Model S. But perhaps the Taycan will have cheaper insurance than a Model S because Porsche/VW have been supplying collision shops with parts for decades, and probably have a more efficient parts distribution network. What does everyone think, and does anyone have an insurance quote yet they'd like to share?
I got a quote from Farmers in southern Cali. 2021 Taycan RWD
