I’ve owned my a Taycan Turbo for about 5 months and recently, I had a strange occurrence where the tire pressure warning light came on and signaled that the front left tire was a bit low on pressure. I added the amount of air that it showed low and to my surprise the alarm did not go out. About 3 days later (when I could get an appointment); I was informed by the advisor that the monitor was for all tires even though only the front left tire was showing as low on the screen. I was also told that there was a software update coming soon to fix the display issue. Has anyone else had this experience?

I cannot say about the Taycan, but our Audi, which is very likely to use very similar sensors and basic software, the tire pressure warning system is constantly malfunctioning. Unfortunately the regularity of false positives led my wife to ignore the warning while on the freeway when she really did have a tire go flat. She found it when she stopped for gas, and while the tire did get her there, the sidewall was destroyed. I am very glad she was not going farther on at freeway speed.

I haven't had that problem. The TPMS did work correctly when I picked up a screw in one of my rear tires. In my other Porsche vehicles sometimes I've had to change the tire size up and down to get the TPMS to be happy.

I have had the exact same thing happen to me. It's even for the front left tyre, same as you.

My tyre is at the correct pressure. I even tried putting extra air in and then deflating it back down to the correct pressure - no joy.

I am still getting the alert on my screen and I hate it.

It's been like this for couple of months now and my dealership is 550 miles away and, even if I wanted to, I cannot travel there because of covid restrictions where I live.

The solution was a quick one; check all 4 tires and ensure all 4 are at the recommended air pressure. This corrected my issue. Hope it helps. The maintenance specialist did say there is a software update coming to further resolve the (left tire only lighting up)!

By an unlikely coincidence, I did exactly that about one hour ago!

Nothing changed; I still have the alert.

Thanks anyway.
