There has been some debate as to whether the Porsche Taycan will be a 4 seater or a 5 seater. Now it appears it will be neither. Or both...
Confused? WE are too.
In a recent discussion with experts in Norway, Porsche's Stefan Weckbach (the Vice President of the Taycan model line) revealed that the car will be a 4+1-seater.
So what exactly does that mean?
Well, it most likely means that it will technically be able to seat 5 people and will have 5 seatbelts, but that the additional 5th seat will effectively be useless.
For example, see the photo below of the BMW Individual 6 Series Gran Coupe BANG and OLUFSEN Edition, which was also billed as a 4+1-seater.
It's really not clear how there's a 5th seat at all, because there' certainly isn't room for a 5th person's legs.
Porsche also confirmed, for the first time, that the car will in fact make it's global debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
