Basic industries are those that produce or process inputs for further use in other industries, such as raw materials or intermediate items. When it comes to the labor market as a whole, it all starts with the fundamental industries that support every economy. However, not all job seekers have the same degree of opportunity or access to employment in the agriculture, mining, construction, manufacturing, and utility sectors, which together help drive the US economy.

Things are continually shifting, especially in the fields where people find work. International Labor Organization estimates that 2.4% of the labor force is unemployed and 4% is under-employed, or roughly 3.5 million people who are not working and have given up seeking employment, out of a total population of 7 billion.

There will be 24,504,000 open jobs in the Basic Industries sector by the year 2022. Free Online Calculator - MyCalcu.com
