According to Road and Track, Tesla could send the Model S around the Nurburgring on Saturday, September 21st. Keep you eyes peeled because once the time is released things are going to get interesting.
This makes sense since it's already been spotted in Germany with a couple of changes.A source on the ground has informed R&T that a time could be set next week. Our source told us that the Nurburgring issued a schedule change for September 21st, with a 30 minute private window carved out of a session that already had public laps and Ring taxi laps on the calendar. There is also the possibility of lap timing in a session on the 18th, though it doesn't sound like that session would be private.
After our original story was published, a Model S was spotted at a shop outside the Nurburgring with a clear wicker attached to its trunk lid and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Rs, some of the stickiest and most aggressive tires you can buy today.
