Rally legend Walter Rohrl has been given another opportunity to test drive the Taycan and share his initial impressions of the performance EV. I don't know if he has ever driven an electric car before, but even as a motorhead he was impressed by the driving dynamics.

Its funny to see how people fail to believe he actually likes the Taycan, thinking he was paid off from Porsche.

Easy to say that but after seeing all Porsche has put into the Taycan, with 911 DNA and all, the Taycan is really the best it gets.

I love that quote 'the tears of emotion flow horizontally'. Obviously Porsche isn't going to promote someone slamming the Taycan, but every single test drive we've seen so far has said the same thing about it retaining all the characteristics we've come to expect from the brand.

Sometimes transparency is the best thing because certain flaws won't be a deal breaker to some people especially from a brand like Porsche.

A lack of exhaust note is the only main complaint I foresee enthusiast having. I know Porsche isn't the kind of company to place fake simulated noises, but there may be interest in some kind of noise generator. That might also become regulated for pedestrians at low speeds.
