Taycan Targa may be coming

Autocar reported a few weeks back that Porsche has a Targa variant of the Taycan in development, which could be launched in 2020 or 2021. It is believed that the removable panel will be made out of glass and will slide into a storage compartment at the push of a button, similar to the 911 Targa sports car. Would you be interested in a convertible Taycan? https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1119356_porsche-taycan-targa-reportedly-in-the-works

I won't mind paying extra to have a targa top, often it enhances the experience by providing an open air feeling. Without you can feel constrained
You would think we would be seeing more convertible options on EV's due to their silent operation. I wonder if whether it will be a unique trim level or if its something that will be available as an additional option/package?

Some of the most luxurious vehicles come with removable tops, Mercedes S-Class comes to mind. If they can keep a cabin quiet, why can't Porsche?
I think Porsche may be moving away from their typical hierarchy of models with the Taycan, so its probably just an option. Obviously we wont be seeing Turbo/ GT variants.
Taycan as the brands first EV does present that case but i think it'll be exclusive to just their EV line. ICE and Hybrid models would suffer from poor sales if they were more monospec.
I don't see why they would move away from their established tier system on the Taycan, as most EV models do usually offer low and high range versions. Wonder how comparable the entry level Taycan will be to that of the Model 3 in terms of specs.
I doubt that they will be able to beat the starting price of $46k, but I would imagine the specs will be similar in terms of power output and range. Build quality will also be much better, and hopefully Porsche can stay on top of production.
Would love to see it.
