Taycan Cross Turismo Tire Thread

Now that the Taycan Cross Turismo is confirmed for production and had a production-like concept handed around to well know automotive publications, its important we dissect and break down what will directly reflect our experience. Tires are an important one and the Cross Turismo concept had a set of General Grabber AT275/40 R20. According to Porsche these were made to "work with the packaging" and "provide the intended off-pavement ability" but there are mixed reviews of them, from owners using Grabbers on other vehicles.

What other tires can be used if it doesn't offer adequate on-road and off-road ability?

I highly doubt that the Cross Turismo will be used for anything other than 'light off roading' i.e dirt roads. I know electric cars have proven to be quite capable off road, but rarely do we even see owners of the Cayenne venture off the pavement. I like the concept rims.
Its like anything else sold these days that target buyers with wants rather than needs. People want "more" from Porsche, a segment of Panamera buyers like the idea of a Panamera but its too plain vanilla for them after so many years. With that comes some theme to base it around even if 10% of buyers will use it as such.
Its more to do with SUV and Crossovers taking off, and of course models like the Panamera creating their own lucrative space.
Naturally people will want a unique alternative to the rest, Panamera/Taycan Cross does exactly that.
