At the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show Sony come out of nowhere and revealed their own electric vehicle called the Vision-S.

They didn't reveal a whole lot of details but they did say that the Vision-S a pair of 268-horsepower (200-kilowatt) electric motors that takes it from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h).

Is it just me or are there some design similarities with the Taycan? The passenger screen is an obvious one but also the way the front end is designed, particularly the front vents and the front bumper reminds me of the Taycan.
The Vision-S has apparently created such a buzz that Sony had to go out and say that it's not going into production.

Vision-S project leader Izumi Kawanishi, who also runs Sony's robotics division, was interviewed and said that the business is not becoming a vehicle maker. Instead, he positions the concept as, "Sony's contribution to the evolution of cars."

If Sony had real intention of bringing this to production I would give them flak about the Taycan front.

FORTUNATELY, it's going no further than being a tech showcase.
In a surprising turn of events, Sony has announced that the Vision-S is actually heading into development!

Sony teased that the car has moved from its manufacturing home in the Magna Steyr factory in Graz, Austria to partake in new road testing trails in Tokyo, Japan. So they're testing more than just audio and infotainment screens.
