Reading the article... and looking at the pictures.

Some nice detailed shots. Clearly several cars. Some shots with the low mounted front cameras and depth sensor, some without.

Then picture 6 of 77 caught my attention.

There is a rectangular red-ish square in the middle of the roof when viewed from behind.

Is that a solar panel in the middle of the roof?
May be some electro-activated sun roof?

Any other guesses?

Just a standard glass roof panel. It looks red because it's got a coating to reflect certain UV heat, etc from the car.

Would prefer Porsche not use solar panels. Range capacity and regen systems today already do enough.

There is going to be a new glass roof for the Taycan that will be available.

There is no crossmember between the B pillar to divide the roof there is no roller sun screen. Instead the roof has 100% UV protection thanks to 7 layers of materials in the glass.
