Retiring my Panamera for a Taycan...

I'm much closer to retiring my Panamera after seeing coverage of the production Taycan!
It's a 2014 Panamera 4, the first Porsche I owned to replace my Lexus IS-F.

Haven't placed a deposit on the Taycan as yet. Waiting to see how Taycan's hold up in the hands of owners in the first 6 months.

If all is well, my P4 will be traded in.

Welcome to the community!
I feel like most folks aren't waiting on purpose, but because they have to. Demand is crazy for this car.

Welcome to the forum Axiom!

Along with the ridiculous demand for the Taycan, I would imagine there are a bunch of us waiting for the lower trim models to come out as well.
Welcome aboard! Funny! I’m doing the opposite for the time being. Got into a 2018 4S this past weekend as I talked my self out of being an early adopter! Lol, dealer was nice enough to allocate my deposit into the transaction and kept me in queue. (Just incase..)

Would you say the Panamera thus far has been a good move for you? Hoping I don’t regret it
I appreciate the warm welcome.
  • @St00k, i'm starting to realize that especially now that I read about how overwhelmed Porsche is with demand, crazy!
  • @Smitty11, with demand so crazy I think some folks will get to the point they'll take anything.
  • @SPH61, no complaints, although I MIGHT play around with an RS7 leading up to the Taycan's arrival.

That's a strong possibility as well. Especially if other people start to take themselves off the wait lists.

I was all over the panamera until the Taycan came. First ands foremost was the Pan wouldn’t fit in my garage with my MacanS. It’s about a foot longer than the Taycan.
Don't wait. Put your deposit on the Taycan 4S and drive your Panamera until the Taycan arrives sometime around July.
