After 15 minutes of testing the Taycan reduced its max top speed. Has anyone experienced this?

A Polish publication highlighted this, it was revealed in an AutoBild test:

Porsche Taycan highway test. After 15 minutes, the car reduced its speed, consumption 118 kWh / 100
Interesting observations of the German Auto Bild during the Porsche Taycan 4S test. Electric Porsche speeding to the limit on the German highway limited the maximum speed to 150 km / h after only 15 minutes of driving. Energy consumption was 118 kWh / 100 km (1,180 Wh / km).

That would be 71 kilometers across the entire battery
The maximum speed of the Porsche Taycan 4S is 250 km / h, but during these 15 minutes the car covered only 30 kilometers (average: 120 km / h). So you can guess that the traffic was dense, so the driver of the electric Porsche alternately slowed down and pressed the accelerator pedal into the floor. Journalists concluded, however, that " maybe Taycan is not made for endurance testing like Tesle " ( source ).
When driving at 130 km / h after 126 kilometers, the car declared 50 kilometers of the remaining range, which would mean less than 180 kilometers on a battery with normal highway driving . We remind you that we are talking about the 4S model with an enlarged Performance Plus battery , i.e. a capacity of 83.7 kWh (useful value; total: 93.4 kWh).
Fast driving was part of a larger whole. The editors also checked the amount of space inside - and it turned out that the almost five-meter car gets tight when four people get in it . The rear trunk (407 liters) is roomy, but the opening leading to it will not allow placing too large objects in it.
The advantage is the speed of charging the car at Ionity stations: the car accelerated to a maximum of 266 kW, and fully charged in 1 hour 3 minutes . It is much more profitable to supplement energy in the range of 5 to 80 percent - here the whole process takes only 22.5 minutes. In turn, charging the battery from an ordinary 230 V socket took 43 hours, which is almost two days.
The editorial team also liked the cockpit, which gives the impression of a Porsche 911 from a science-fiction movie. The car has been praised for its excellent handling characteristics thanks to pneumatic suspension and four-wheel steering, but it all has its price. If this Taycan were to be bought in Poland, it would cost about PLN 660-700 thousand

Nope. I have 1300 miles and seen speeds up to about 117. As weather gets a touch warmer the range is increasing. Today's projection is about 200 miles at 85% charge. I'm at 59% now with a range of 133 miles.
