Porsche Taycan Tire Size Revealed

While the camo on the Taycan continues to cover up the final design, Porsche has also carefully kept secret the tire size of the new car as well.

Even detailed spy photos haven't revealed the info, as Porsche was careful to use unmarked tires. Newer versions were revealed to be Michelins, but no sizing was available.

Now, for the first time we have a close up of a Taycan rear tire and there are a few interesting highlights.
For starters, these are not Michelins. Instead, they are Goodyear tires. They are part of the Eagle brand of ultra high performance tires, although, oddly, they don't have the Eagle F1 branding we'd expect.

Perhaps more interestingly, they are quite massive.

Shown here is a set of 305/30/ZR21 tires on the rear of a Taycan test mule.

Of note, these are MUCH wider than those found on comparable Teslas. Even the P100D comes with 265/35/21 rear tires with optional 285/35/22s.

As though there was any doubt, this extra rubber will certainly help the Taycan handle impressively!
