A new report out gives more info on the pricing of the Taycan. Original reports had the car at $80,000 and $130,000 for the Turbo. Now we have newer figures (reportedly from Porsche corporate not from a dealer) and more details on possible additional models.

The entry-level, rear-wheel drive 80-kWh battery model will be priced in the low $90,000 range.

Moving up from there will be a 4S version with a 96-kWh battery delivering 320-kW (429-hp) or 360-kW (483-hp) and will be priced in the high $90,000 range. As the "4" suggests, this will be all-wheel drive.

The Taycan Turbo will be priced at approximately $140,000 and will also be all-wheel drive.

There's also news of a Taycan GTS and Taycan Turbo S. The Taycan GTS would be a lighter, more driver-focused version, perhaps made possible by advancements in battery technology, including the use of J1 II, solid-state power packs.

As for the Taycan Turbo S it would deliver an outrageous 724-hp and take the fight more directly to the Model S P100D. Expect that car to cost closer to $160,000.

The Taycan is still on schedule to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Initial US deliveries are set for the end of 2019 with the bulk of deliveries early in 2020.
