That didn't take long.
According to Motor Trend's Jonny Lieberman in a post on Instagram, Porsche is planning to make a higher-performing version of the Cayenne Coupe - and we're not talking about a Turbo S.
No, it will be a GT version, along the lines of a GT3 or GT2. We're thinking the GT2 makes more sense. Or perhaps it's just a GT with no racing-inspired numbers after it. Then again, perhaps it's a "just" GTS, which would make a lot of sense.
Recently it was revealed that there exists a Lamborghini Urus with a 641 horsepower twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8. The catch? The team at Porsche Motorsports built the engine - so it's seems obvious they'd get to use it in a car like this.
If Porsche goes go the GT2-style route, expect a bigger focus on horsepower. If they go the GTS route, expect just a small upgrade in power (to, say, 580-hp) with a bigger focus on handling.
