Porsche Admits Taycan Could Probably Go Faster Around The Nurburgring

Taycan product manager Lukas Kramer told CarsGuide "there's probably some room left" in the 7min 42sec Nurburgring lap time it set back in August.

So the question remains, what's next? The Taycan Turbo S, a model that has never met the 'rings tarmac.
What did hit 7min 42sec was the Taycan Turbo.

As for Performance, "The Taycan Turbo S produces the same 460kW as the Turbo, but the launch control function unlocks a staggering 560kW and 1050Nm for a 2.5-second overboost burst, helping trim the sprint to 100km/h by 0.4 secs to 2.8secs." In addition to standard ceramic brakes, a lowered curb weight,

The interview with CarsGuide ended with: "We’re really happy with our (lap time) time. But (with the Turbo S) there would be some potential"

Keep your eyes peeled for the Turbo S!

I really want Tesla to officially clock at the Nurburgring just so Porsche has a reason to send out the Turbo S.

Tesla doesn't have a chance.
I mean, Porsche is part of VW Group, one of the largest automakers that's investing billions beyond what Tesla can even dream of.
VW's, Audi's and of course Porsche's are getting the electric treatment and soon.

Porsche will always have something to beat the little guy (Tesla)

That's true, by that extension VW always has the ID.R. But I want the back and forth between Porsche and Tesla go for as long as possible.
