I think the Porsche marketing/advertising team has been hanging around with their VW counterparts too much. I assume I am too factual when it comes to advertising and those snippets would not entice me at all to pursue buying a Taycan. I want to hear and see what is different about the car and what it will do for me. Guess My personality does not fit the usual consumer market for this auto.

It seems like they're targeting older millennials in a way they think appeals to them. Sadly it's massively misunderstood. Porsche and many other automakers should go back to showing us what the brand is actually about; performance, technology, etc.
Well, I am a older Baby Boomer and it does nothing for me. I don’t like smoke and mirror advertising. Show me why this is going to be different, fun and cutting edge. So far the Tesla Model 3 appears to have better performance at half the price. I really want the Taycan to be my next buy but I am not convinced yet. I will not buy one just for the Porsche name.
I hope that these commercials are meant to generate buzz as the first stage of a broader campaign. My guess is that there will be more straight forward commercials coming as well.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the London ad, but I did like the Hoover Dam. There really isn’t much they can do outside of these vague “feel good” ads until they release the vehicle details in September.

I’m reluctant to admit it, but they must be doing something right since they have my money for a product that I haven’t been seen yet! Can’t imagine doing that with anything else ?. Must be love...?

I have chuckled at myself due to the fact that I have put a deposit on a car that I don’t know what exactly the outside looks like, what the interior and dash looks like, what colors it may come in and what are the specifics of the technical numbers! ?

If I’m going down, at least I know I’m not alone!
