I just wanted to share some of the beautiful pics of the early Taycan concept, dubbed the Mission E. I know that plenty will change prior to the production model.
Has Porsche confirmed if the suicide doors are coming to the production model? I know this was the case on the Mission E concept, but we haven't seen any test mules with the same layout.
I think you mean front hinged doors, but I've yet to see one of these test cars open. Its not a deal breaker for me, but it could help to further distinguish them from the Model S.
My mistake, you're right. Sometimes keeping what you can simple is a winning strategy especially when buyers just want a Porsche version of the mass of EV's to flood the market.
The handle positions do seem to indicate that we will be seeing regular doors on the production model. The early concepts had both of them in the middle. My guess is this was also changed to comply with crash test regulations.
Porsche could get around it if they wanted to. I look at it from a leverage point of view and with that in mind, Porsche of all brands don't need it. Tesla had a lot to prove, hence the gull wing doors.
