According to Auto Express, the Kia is set to launch an electric crossover that will feature an 800-volt system like the Taycan.
Kia says that the upcoming EV will have “around 300 miles” of range and offer a “sub-20-minute recharge time.” Their E-GMP platform will feature 800-volt technology and will work with IONITY’s 350kW fast-charging network.
The COO of Kia Motors Europe, Emilio Herrera, said: "We will have in the new EV a high-performance vehicle like an e-GT."
No I'm not going to say that a crossover is direct competition to the Taycan. But it will be interesting to see how Kia's 800-volt system will compare to Porsche's.
