This image is making the rounds today, claiming to be the first leaked image of the upcoming production Porsche Taycan. But the issue is... that might not be true.

In fact, we're pretty sure it's not.

What do you say, is this a leak? The Mission E? Or just a lazy fake?

Would not a finished unit actually have the Taycan logo on the rear end some where or does Porsche not do this to their cars?

I don't think is a real image of the Taycan unfortunately.

Comparing this photo with the spy photos, there's two big things that I notice. There doesn't appear to be a bodyline for the trunk and you can't see the rear parking sensors.

It's probably just an edited image of the Mission E unfortunately.

Definitely the Mission E.....As James pointed out, look at the trunk. It is the same as the Mission E, NOT a more practical and usable trunk as seen in the Taycan spy photos.

I agree it looks like the rear of the Mission E concept vehicle. I really hope Porsche comes close to the concept model for the production model as I've put off buying a Tesla Model S to buy one of these.

Even if its not the actual car, it can't be much different. Porsche designs are so simple that going from concept to production isn't noticeable to the average person.

Concept cars used to be wild years ago but now its changed to production looking concepts.
