Inaccurate in -car Charge Level gage

I am charging my 2022 4S using the Timer function with limit set to 85%. The timer works fine, begins as programmed, and then stops before 6:00am as planned. But, the in-car gage at charge completion seems to read more than 85%, ending at about 87% or 88%. Seems like Porsche should be providing a gage that shows 85% if I set the in car control to stop at 85%. This behavior is very un-Porsche like. (if that is a word)
Any idea out there on what is going wrong? Is this just the famous "operator error"?

I find that changes in temperature affect the state of charge.
If I charge when it's cold, when the temp warms up, my level of charge may increase by a few %

Good point. I am beginning charge to begin after things cool down around midnight and to end around 6am.
Took the hint and charged last night after a good cool down in the garage. First charged to 25% right away beginning around noon. then the Timer took over and began around midnight and charged the rest of the way to 85% by 6:00am. Just as planned. Sitting at 85% now. Problem figured out. Thanks to klhTaycan for the tip.

Happy driving!.....I tend to charge mine in the early evening after work....usually finished at 85% around midnight.
Another question: my Mobile Charger Connect seems to default to 20 Amp current as max.
I can open the charger and slide the current level up to my desired max of 32 amps, and it charges fine,. but on the next charge that setting is back to 20 amps. Aggravating.
Is this a result of the must discussed software update? Is there a workaround to have it hold your amp setting?

I have a 2020 4S and for the first year or so, always charged at the full 40 amps. At some point, the charger started to shut off after a while (maybe 45 to 60 minutes). I also noticed that the cable was pretty warm at the J-1772 plug area. Evidently, it was not unique to my car. Porsche recommended a specific brand 14-50 socket. I checked repeatedly, and that socket was not ever warm, so I didn't replace it. They also, by software update, caused my charging speed to reset to 20 amps as you have noticed. I have settled in to leaving it at 20 amps if I am in no hurry, or raising it to 32 amps otherwise. I have not had any issues at 32 amps.

I have gotten used to bumping up the charger level to 39-40 amps when I begin to charge.
I live in upstate NY and I have not had any overheating problems, but the cable will melt snow.
After I got used to doing this, it became routine.
