How do you enable the "All-Wheel" Front/Rear power distribution gauge?

I have seen it in several videos. It looks like this and is in the left-most tube and according to the menu shown in the videos, it is called "All Wheel":

I have a '21 Turbo sedan and it does not have that display. Is this some sort of "wagon-only" view or can I enable it somehow? I do have access to VCDS if that's worth anything.

Unfortunately the display you are looking for WAS originally available on all 2020, 2021 and 2022 Taycans. It was (stupidly) eliminated with the recent software upgrade which brought the software functionality of all of the older Taycans up to the functionality of the 2023 model year.

That software upgrade GREATLY improved the PCM functionality and also made it possible for the Taycan to completely disconnect the front motor from the wheels (when extra power isn't needed) which improves range a bit.

The software update did improve things a lot so, on balance, I'm happy with the upgrade but I do miss the Front-Rear Torque display. I can tell you that your Taycan, when set to NORMAL driving mode, will be sending all the torque to the rear wheels most of the time and the front motor will kick in only when you are accelerating hard. In RANGE mode the front motor will not ever engage and in SPORT or SPORT+ mode the front motor will stay connected and the Taycan will be an AWD vehicle.

If you are thinking you should just keep your Taycan set in SPORT mode in order to have "permanent" AWD, you will sacrifice ride comfort. In NORMAL mode the Air Suspension will provide the softest/smoothest ride but in SPORT or SPORT+ mode the Air Suspension will stiffen up and provide a firmer ride that is oriented toward performance handling.

I keep my Taycan in NORMAL mode most of the time and I switch it to SPORT mode only when I am about to drive onto a highway.

I appreciate your detailed response! So, I thought I was taking crazy pills there, as I had looked at every single option trying to find it. I hope they reinstate that at some point. Your points about preferred modes are useful. I definitely have been keeping it in normal for 80% of my driving, and dropping into Sport Plus for "kick some ass" mode. I have yet to try range mode, but perhaps that is worth using for day to day driving for max efficiency. For what it's worth, I did subscribe to the free trial of the Range Manager, which I know makes use of Range mode for some trip options.
