Full Xpel wrap and Ceramic Pro Gold Package (lifetime guarantee with $120/year refreshes), Tint and remote Escort 360ci max. Drove and parked in the rain yesterday, blew off the water/dirt in the rear with my electric leaf blower when I got home and it looks like it was just washed. Really incredible - I would highly recommend.

Gorgeous car. I like a black car, but the Taycan in the Mission E White and Wheels is what I would pick too. Is that the Escort display etched in the mirror?

I have favored and owned a number of black cars, but with this one, I think white shows off the beautiful lines better. Yes, Escort display is located inside mirror.

Welcome to the forum @Vim.
Did do you have to get any flaws in the paint worked out before going forward with xpel and ceramic? Just curious to know what the condition of these are like when new.

Congrats @Vim ! Looks fantastic.

What's your favorite thing about it so far?
The ability to go from a super luxury sedan to an absolute monster....🤪. I have tracked and raced quite a few cars, and never experienced anything like this. It is insane. At the same time, my wife says it rides better than her Mercedes.

Yes, interestingly enough, my 'wrap guy' is very ODD and has an incredibly highly rated business doing Ferraris, Lambo's etc. He showed me a few new cars and when I looked really closely I could see very slight swirls, orange peel, and even very slight discolorations. Once the paint is corrected it looks like it is liquid. Then with the wrap and ceramic (5 coats with UV curing in between) it never needs to be waxed - just light wash and it's guaranteed for 10 years. Just a once a year refresh for $120. He even ceramic coats the internal wheel hubs and brake calipers.

Yikes!
It amazes me by how unfinished 'new' cars can look.

Did you or your detailer manage to get any pictures of how your cars paint progressed through the stages? Would love to see some before and after photos if you have them.

I don't have any before/after pics, but you can find them on youtube. For me, it was hard to see with my bare eyes what the issues were with new paint, but when the whole job was done, the car looked better than any I've ever seen. I would HIGHLY recommend getting your car corrected, wrapped and ceramic coated, but ONLY by someone with a very high reputation. There are a ton of shops out there that just don't do very good work. Check out this video at about 11:20 to see the difference between new corrected/non-corrected paint.

Had it out for a 'spirited' two hours this weekend, and it is just phenomenal in sports plus. Haven't driven it on a 'long' highway trip yet, but am hoping I can get in a 200 mile+ trip before the winter.

I just put expel on my turbo. Does it make sense to put ceramic on the expel?

Absolutely!! The Xpel is hydrophobic and will repel water just like the best wax and will return a real liquid 'sheen' to the car. It will make the car look MUCH better, and much easier to wash. I'd put the Xpel on the wheels and calipers as well.
