I have tried in vain to get this solved with Porsche, and I am at my wits end. Since mid-Summer, I have not been able to get a charge initiated at an Electrify America without having to call in and have someone initiate the session from their end. My car will not automatically connect, and when I try using the My Porsche app, it always says that “server could not be reached…” it is ruining an otherwise great ownership experience. About to give up hope.

You need to set up an account with EA that includes a credit card. And, you need to renew the account at the end of each year. We had the same problem, but since setting up the account we connect automatically.

I have a 2020 Taycan 4S and have also had maddeningly bad luck getting a charge to initiate with EA. Have you tried deleting your MyPorsche App and reinstalling? That upped my success rate a little, but didn’t totally solve my issue. I finally resorted to opening my own EA account and just paying for charging sessions. Going direct that way generally works for me. I have found almost no assistance from either my dealer or calling into Porsche. EA has great customer service, but it is never convenient to spend 15 minutes with them trying to get the charge initiated when you are on the road. Agree that I love my Taycan but for this one really frustrating issue. BTW in November I took delivery of a Lucid Air GT. First time at EA I plugged it in and everything worked flawlessly. It makes EV ownership much nicer.
