If anyone is spending any money on their home charging setup, or revamping their home charging setup, it's good to know that as of December 2019 a federal tax credit was renewed. That includes a 30% tax credit on purchase and installation of charging equipment, expenses up to $1,000.
The tax credit is retroactive to costs incurred since 2017, so in the last few years if you'd installed a home charging station, you may have a new deduction to claim.
