I put down a reservation deposit at my local dealer who said I would be hearing from Porsche. That was several weeks ago and I have not heard anything from Porsche. I am starting to get a little anxious about whether I have a confirmed reservation. Has anyone on the forum put down a reservation deposit? I assume so.

Could anyone who has put down a deposit share whether or not they have heard from Porsche directly?

I also put down a reservation deposit at the end of June and the next day I received the welcome email from Porsche with the "track any dream" link. I have not received any certificate yet. Based on the tracking, my car should go to production at the end of this month.

There is a difference between “having a reservation” and “putting a deposit on an allocated car.” When you get an email from Porsche with “Welcome to Porsche – Track Your Dream!“ headline and “Congratulations on the order of your new all-electric Taycan. … “ starting the body of the email, then you have a specific car in the start of the queue. The dealers are allowed to, and do, accept deposits for cars that the dealership has not yet been “allocated.” Once your specific car is in the queue, the trackyourdream.porsche.com web site will be able to show you how many days you have to change anything in the build order, and an estimate of the delivery date. Until you get that email, you will not have a car ID that lets you track it.

It took me over a week to get the email even though the dealership assured me that I got their last allocation. When I decided to make a change in the build order it took just over a day for the change to show up on the trackyourdream site.

Welcome! and good luck! I am 5 days to Freeze and 113 days to estimated delivery.
