911 vs Taycan Turbo

Hi there,

I'm in the market for a new/fun car.. I already have a Model S as my daily.

I actually already ordered a 992 S, delivery for july, but still something is telling me to get a Taycan Turbo instead (next to the model S) as fun car...

I actually test drove several 992's and the Taycan 4S.. the Taycan actually suprised me, it drives so much better than my model S! Ofcourse in the Taycan you miss the engine-noise, the lack of gear-shits... but oh boy... the Taycan goes like stink.

Is anyone else having a hard time deciding which to buy?? 992 vs Taycan?

Its often only traditional enthusiasts that oppose owning anything electric. You on the other hand, have which says a lot. Aside from that, there's little standing in the way of someone like that with getting the Taycan. Unless the 992 Turbo was out, which in that case, the Taycan is just a more rewarding new car experience vs current 992's.

From what I heard, a lot of potential 992 owners have bought Taycan's instead. ;)
Welcome to the forum @germinal! A friend of mine is in a similar spot as you and I'm doing what I can to convince him to go Taycan. Personally I think it'd be cool to see a Model S and Taycan in the same garage. :D
I was in a similar situation, but with a 992 Turbo S. I was a few days from locking in my 992 order and I test drove the Taycan and felt it was the best of both worlds. Performance and practicality. I have two small kids who appreciate the extra room. As an aside, I have a 2 seater weekend car for track days and canyon runs.

Hi. I came from a 2017 911 Turbo S to the Taycan recently. Couldn’t be happier. Both obviously crazy good, but Taycan seems like a very unique car. Happy to discuss further.
If you've already got a Model S, I'd sell the Model S and buy the Taycan Turbo for your daily driver. My Turbo S is the best 'daily driver' I've ever had. (It's also the best car I've ever had). Then, I'd get the 992 S for fun on the weekends or track time.
