The Taycan lineup has expanded with Porsche officially revealing the Cross Turismo. The off-road version of the Taycan offers a to offer customers right off the start at launch.

Here are 5 things you need to know about the Taycan Cross Turismo.

1. There will be 4 models available at launch

Just like the Taycan sedan, the Cross Turismo will have 4 models available for customers to order. The only difference is that all four models will be available at launch.

The models include:
  • The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo with 280 kW (380 horsepower), overboost power for Launch Control 350 kW (476 horsepower), acceleration 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.1 seconds, top speed 220 km/h (136 mph), range (WLTP) 389 – 456 km (242-283 miles)
  • The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo with 360 kW (490 horsepower), overboost power with Launch Control 420 kW (571 horsepower), acceleration 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds, top speed 240 km/h (150 mph), range (WLTP) 388 – 452 km (241-280 miles).
  • The Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo with 460 kW (625 horsepower), overboost power with Launch Control 500 kW (680 horsepower), acceleration 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds, top speed 250 km/h (155 mph), range (WLTP) 395 – 452 km (245-280 miles).
  • The Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo with 460 kW (625 horsepower), overboost power with Launch Control 560 kW (761 horsepower), acceleration 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, top speed 250 km/h (155 mph), range (WLTP) 388 – 419 km (241-260 miles).
2. More interior space

The Cross Turismo's new design allows it to have more room inside than the Taycan sedan. There is 0.35 inches more headroom in the front and 3.62 inches of additional headroom in the rear.

The larger trunk now provides 42.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. The front trunk of 2.9 cubic feet remains the same.

3. There will be an optional Off-Road package

For anyone that enjoys the outdoors and wants to take their Cross Turismo off the beaten path there will be an optional Off-Road Design package that can increase the ground clearance by 10 mm (0.39 inches). The standard ride height for the Cross Turismo is 20 millimeter (0.78 inches) higher than the sedan.

As part of the Off-Road Design package, the Cross Turismo has special flaps at the corners of the front and rear bumpers and at the ends of the sills to provide protection from stone impacts.

4. It comes with a standard Gravel Mode

Each Cross Turismo will come with a new "Gravel Mode" as standard that's unique from the Taycan sedan. As the name suggests it allows the Cross Turismo to better handle off-road terrain.

5. It has a new rear carrier for up to 3 bicycles

Porsche has developed a rear carrier that handle up to three bicycles on the back. It can be used universally for different types of bikes. Also, the tailgate can be opened even when the rear carrier is loaded.
